Privacy Statement / Volunteer Submission Guidelines

The personal information on this form is being collected for the purposes of recruiting volunteers for participation in the 2024 Outside Festival. Parts of your information may be shared with the Human Resources department and community partners assisting the volunteer team for scheduling needs.

I understand that submitting this application form does not automatically register me as an Outside Festival volunteer. I understand that job duties may include (but are not limited to) keeping the festival grounds clean and maintained, assisting festival teams with ticketing, merch, guest services, setting up/tearing down spaces, promotions, line control, etc. I understand that I may not be offered my first choice of scheduled shifts or job placement. I agree to maintain the standards and expectations set forth by Outside staff and organizers. I understand that it is expected that I maintain communication with the Volunteer Coordinator and department leads prior to and during all assigned shifts.

Publicity Release

In return for being allowed to participate in the Outside Festival volunteer activities and all related activities, including any activities incidental to such participation (“Volunteer Activities”), the undersigned Volunteer (hereafter referred to using “I”, “me”, or “my”) hereby grants to Outside Interactive, Inc., and each of its subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, advertising or promotional agencies, and partners, and all such entities’ officers, directors, agents, employees, respective successors and assigns (collectively, “Authorized Parties”), the absolute and irrevocable right and permission to use, publish, broadcast and/or copyright the use of Volunteer’s name, voice, photograph and/or likeness, caricature, in its current form or as retouched, digitized, cropped, altered, distorted or modified in any way, in any and all advertising, promotional, or other materials based upon or derived from the Volunteer Activities in any manner, in any media whatsoever for any and all purposes, including by way of example but without limitation advertising, promoting or publicizing products and services throughout the universe, in perpetuity, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised (including without limitation on the Internet), without additional compensation. I further agree that anything derived therefrom will be owned solely by the Authorized Parties.

I understand that this document is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the state of Colorado and agree that if any portion of this Agreement is invalid, the remainder will continue in full legal force and effect.


Release of Liability

In return for being allowed to participate in the Outside Festival volunteer activities and all related activities, including any activities incidental to such participation (“Volunteer Activities”), the undersigned Volunteer (hereafter referred to using “I”, “me”, or “my”) releases and agrees not to sue Outside Interactive, Inc. or its officers, directors, employees, sub-contractors, sponsors, agents and affiliates (“Outside”) from all present and future claims that may be made by me, my family, estate, heirs, or assigns for property damage, personal injury, or wrongful death arising as a result of my participation in the Volunteer Activities wherever, whenever, or however the same may occur.

I understand and agree that Outside is not responsible for any injury or personal property loss or damage arising out of the Volunteer Activities, even if caused by their ordinary negligence or otherwise. I am voluntarily participating in the Volunteer Activities with knowledge of potential danger involved and I agree to accept all risks of participation. I will also follow all instructions, recommendations, and cautions of Outside at all times during my participation in the Volunteer Activities, I understand and agree that I am expected to exhibit appropriate behavior at all times while I am attending the premises and during my participation in the Volunteer Activities. This includes, generally, respect for other people, equipment, facilities or property. If at any time I believe conditions to be unsafe, that I am no longer in proper physical condition to participate in the Volunteer Activities, I will immediately discontinue further participation in the Volunteer Activities.

I consent to medical care and transportation in order to obtain treatment in the event of injury to me as Outside or Outside Festival event owners, officers, directors, managers, staff, volunteers or other medical professionals may deem appropriate and understand that this agreement extends to any liability arising out of or in any way connected with such medical treatment or transportation. Further, I understand that Outside does not assume any responsibility for or obligation to provide me with financial or other assistance, including but not limited to medical, health, or disability benefits or insurance. I expressly waive any such claim for compensation or liability on the part of Outside.

I also agree to indemnify and hold harmless Outside for all claims arising out of my participation in the Volunteer Activities. I understand that this document is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the state of Colorado and agree that if any portion of this Agreement is invalid, the remainder will continue in full legal force and effect.

I also understand that this document is a contract which grants certain rights to and eliminates the liability of Outside.

I am of legal age and am freely signing this agreement. I have read this form and understand the contents described here within.
